Circuit Training Routines
Circuit training takes many forms and the current trend of Crossfit and Strongman training are just fancy circuit training routines.
Circuit training is simply two or more exercises performed back to back with little or no rest. The major benefit is an increase in heart rate so you can perform strength movements and work on your fitness at the same time.
Increased calorie burn, increased fat burning, increased fitness, decrease in workout duration and being massive fun are the major reasons why people love circuit training. If you are bored with your current routine, circuit training could be perfect to get you kicked up a gear and loving the burn…
Circuit training can be performed as bodyweight or with resistance equipment. The only limit is your imagination but by following these simple tips you’ll have safe effective circuits.
- Start with complex movements.
- Transition to simple exercises.
- Keep your intensity high but your form good.
- Allow adequate rest but don’t let your heart rate fall too far.
